Pricing is **flat per workspace** with a fixed number of included seats plus
metered usage (AI tokens and document pages). It is **not** per-seat — you move
to a higher plan for more seats, not by adding seats à la carte. Prices are in
**EUR** and **exclude VAT**.

## Credit packs (one-time, no subscription)
Prepaid usage for episodic work — "answer one RFP without subscribing." Credits
grant product access while a balance remains. Per-unit pricing sits intentionally
above the Starter subscription rate, so a subscription remains the cheaper choice
for recurring work.

## Volume / usage pricing
Applies to **monthly** subscriptions. On **annual** subscriptions the included
bundle is a hard cap for the month (no automatic overage); usage resets the
following month. The Free tier is hard-capped and never overage-billed.

## Overage & limits
- AI tokens are consumed when the AI drafts answers; pages are consumed when documents are uploaded and parsed.
- Allowances reset on the 1st of every calendar month, regardless of monthly vs annual billing.
- Monthly plans: usage beyond the bundle is auto-billed at the rates above.
- Annual plans: the bundle is the cap for the month; no automatic overage.
- Free tier: hard-capped (work is blocked past the cap rather than billed).

## Billing
- **Monthly or annual.** Annual is billed once per year at 10× the monthly price — i.e. ~2 months free, a **~16.7% discount** vs paying monthly.
- **Currency:** EUR.
- **Payment:** card, via Stripe Checkout.
- **Tax:** prices exclude VAT; VAT/tax is handled at checkout based on billing location. EU business customers can provide a VAT ID for reverse-charge handling.

## Terms
- **Trial:** 7-day free trial. During the trial you get Professional-level features with Starter-level usage limits.
- **Cancellation:** cancel anytime from the in-app billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- **Renewal:** subscriptions auto-renew (monthly or annually) until cancelled.
- **Refunds:** TODO: confirm (no refund policy is defined in the application configuration; see the NLdigital terms referenced on the site).

## Source of truth
The self-serve published prices in this file come from the application's plan
configuration. **Live Stripe Products/Prices are the system of record** for what
is actually charged — reconcile against Stripe before treating any figure as
final. Negotiated/contract pricing for larger Enterprise rollouts overrides this
file per the signed agreement.

## FAQ
**What is a "token" and a "page"?**
Tokens are units of AI work, consumed when the assistant drafts an answer (billed per 1,000). Pages are units of document processing, consumed when you upload and parse a document (billed per page).

**Is pricing per seat?**
No. Each plan is a flat workspace price that includes a set number of seats (2 / 5 / 15 / unlimited). To add more seats you move to a higher plan; there is no per-seat add-on.

**Is there a free trial?**
Yes — a 7-day free trial (Professional features, Starter usage limits). A standing Free tier exists in configuration but, for new signups, the paid-signup policy currently requires starting a paid plan/trial (see the Free-plan note above).

**Can I pay for just one RFP without subscribing?**
Yes — buy a credit pack (€39 or €99, one-time, valid 12 months). Credits grant product access while a balance remains.

**What happens if I exceed my plan's usage?**
On monthly billing, overage is auto-billed (€0.05 / 1,000 tokens, €0.02 / page). On annual billing, the bundle is a hard cap until usage resets the next month.
